— Why this newsroom exists —

The Digital Product Passport is becoming the information layer of European product law: the ESPR (Regulation (EU) 2024/1781) introduces it product group by product group, the Batteries Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 already mandates a battery passport from 18 February 2027, and customs and market surveillance authorities verify product identities against an EU registry. Rules written in Brussels decide market access in every member state — so we read them at the source and publish what they mean in practice.

Ledger Consortium is the infrastructure behind the passport: we aggregate client product data, anchor it on a governed blockchain and manage regulatory updates over time — with predictable costs, no tokens or crypto, and GDPR/eIDAS alignment. In Italy the Ledger DPP is distributed by Il Sole 24 Ore (Valore24). Start from a working product, not a promise: open the live demo.
